Our Austin ISD programs in April & May at Brentwood Elementary were filled with creativity and inspiration. Our creative movement based curriculum aligns with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) in science. We studied Organisms and their Enviroments with 2nd graders, and Energy, Force & Motion with 4th graders. Artistic Director, Andrea Ariel, taught over 120 students a week, and their energy and engagement in the program was outstanding.
AADT also partnered with Mindpop and Austin Parks and Recreation Dept. as part of launching their new program Dance Across Austin. For four weeks Andrea Ariel taught Contemporary Modern Dance and Creative Movement to very creative and enthusiastic 4-6 and 5-10 year olds at the Northwest Recreation Center.
